QR & Barcode Scanner

Terms & Conditions

Effective date: September 14, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the QR & Barcode Scanner app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the app on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.

2. Free, ad-supported service

The app is free to use and is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Scanned content and third-party links

QR codes and barcodes are created by third parties. We do not control, verify, or endorse the content, websites, networks, or offers they point to, and we are not responsible for them. You open links, join Wi-Fi networks, save contacts, and act on scanned information at your own risk.

The Link Safety Check is an automatic, on-device check of how a link is written (for example whether it uses HTTPS or looks disguised). It cannot detect every harmful link and is not a guarantee that a website is safe. Always use your own judgment, especially before entering passwords or payment details.

5. Accuracy

Codes can be damaged, poorly printed, or misread. Check important information, such as prices, payment details, or product data, before relying on it.

6. Third-party services

The app uses services from third parties, including Google Play services (Google Code Scanner) and Google AdMob. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Intellectual property

The app, including its design, code, graphics, and name, is owned by its developer and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks or content beyond using the app. "Google", "Google Play", and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC. "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or able to read every code. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, money, or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or any content you scan. Because the app is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your right to use the app if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

11. Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue features of the app at any time. We may also update these Terms. We will change the effective date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will provide notice in the app. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. App store terms

If you downloaded the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. If you downloaded it from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its maintenance or support, or any claims relating to it, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you. In case of any conflict, the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions’ usage rules take precedence.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where the developer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.
